Food

The food here in Ireland is very similar to the food back home, but you can find some differences. The traditional Irish dishes are interesting to say the least, most i am not willing to try, but i have tried a few.

Instead of peanut butter they are big consumers of hazelnut spread as is most of Europe.

Bap is sort of like a biscuit but made with bread dough…it is heavy like a biscuit but doesn’t taste like one. IT as used as a bun.

The Bacon is more similar to uncooked ham, as they don’t cook theirs as long as i would like.

Fast food in Ireland (ie McDonald’s, Burger King) is a lot less greasy than in the States.

You can find a lot of Chinese and Indian restaurants, but very few burger joints in small towns.

Pizza in Ireland is slightly different but still very good tasting.

YOU CANT FIND MEXICAN TO SAVE YOUR LIFE!!!!

Beef and Guinness Pie is like beef tips made with Guinness instead of wine and covered with a puff pastry instead of being served over noodles. IT IS GREAT!!!!

Kraft Mac n Cheese is none existent as well.

The water is safe to drink but tastes funky!

Potato Waffles are amazing! They are literally waffles made with mashed potatoes, and you can put them in the toaster!!!! They are great with ketchup (which you can buy here).

Believe it or not Chicken is really expensive over here! And beef tastes different!!!
